Now to the fun stuff, the cards! It fills me with so much joy to meet likeminded people and share the joy of craft, which is how I met Maria. She's a friend and I'm so excited to see her ideas come to life today.
I've made 4 cards for the launch, and included a video using Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens in an easy to follow format. I'd love you to join me every month where I'll be colouring with different Nuvo products using easy techniques.
My first two cards are nearly identical, just using different sentiments. The colouring technique is so simple that you could, with a little more time, batch make these for future use. They take about 45 mins to make each card but if you coloured a bunch at once you'd have them made in no time! Yellow isn't my go to colour but wanted to make something summery and happy.

Don't you love the colour of the teal Nuvo Alcohol Markers (360, 363, 369)?! The stamp is so beautiful; I love it's simplicity.
My last card is something completely different - colour pencils!
I've heat embossed on navy card and coloured directly onto it with Prismacolor Pencils! Now this was the first time I'd used color pencils so still a lot to learn, but the end result is a truly beautiful card. I'll be using color pencils a lot more in the future for sure.

Every single card is gorgeous Jen! I love the yellows, teal and that colored pencil piece is a work of art! Wonderful video too and I love that you tie coloring in as a way to bring peace and cope w these stressful times.

ReplyDeleteLove your cards, and I especially like watching you water color. I am not good at that, and I am going to try your technique of using just a bit of color and then spread it around. I always try to watercolor the whole image like I do with paint and that does not work for me. Can't wait to get this new stamp set in my happy mail! Thanks for your isnpiration!

ReplyDeleteI was chatting w/ my better half about something and I glanced at my screen as your site was opening. That dark blue background with the purpley-pink flowers on it stopped me mid-syllable. WOW!! Holy smokes, is that gorgeous! Not to take anything away from the yellow-flowered or the green-flowered cards -- they're lovely -- but that blue background exemplar is superior. Blessings on you for providing us all with so much inspiration!
