I don't know about you, but I'm thrilled it's finally the weekend! And what better sentiment to use on a few cards than 'Have a Beautiful Day' by Tonic Studios. If anyone tells you they don't like Gin & Tonic, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.  Speaking of gin and tonic, today I'm sharing a few of my most recent creations using - G45 Artisan papers and Tonic dies.  I bought the G45 Artisan collection earlier this year and felt it was time to crack it open and see what all the fuss was about. Hello there! Today I've dipped into my watercolours and die cuts to create a large tag card, 15cm x 7.5cm.  This is the first time I've die cut into watercolour card and all I can say is...why have I not done this before?! I'm sure you've been doing this for years but to me it's new and I'm EXCITED!  So, I started off with a basic watercolour background for my tag, using  Kuretake Gansai Tambi Japanese Watercolours. I then die cut the  Tonic Beautiful Blooms and again used my watercolours on them. Then I hacked into a Tonic sentiment topper, added a few embellishments and popped it all together. A closer look at the watercolour background and some of the detail.  I used cord, watercolour paper and flower buds to make the centre of this flower. Isn't it lovely? Is it really August already?! Where has the year gone... This past Saturday I had the absolute pleasure of visiting the Craftwrok Cards factory and meeting the rest of the Design Team Members as this was our first get together. It was amazing and I am still buzzing with excitement from it all!  I finally got my hands on the Toile De Jouy Jet collection from Craftwork Cards and this is the first chance I've had to open it up and create something with it. Having seen quite a few cards made with lush golds and yellows I wanted to do something a little different for my first make.  So out came the Gelatos. Now, I've never used these before and they were great fun to work with. I coloured in the entire 8x8 sheet to begin with, which did take a little time, maybe 30 mins as I went over some of the images multiple times for a little depth in colour.  Having trimmed the 8 x 8 sheet down to 5.75 x 5.75 to form my card background then used the leftover 2+ inch strips to cut ou...

Hello friends and good evening. I'm back with more samples from an AMAZING new collection from Craftwork Cards - A Pocket Full of Paper Christmas USB. I had the luxury and pleasure of using the colour me images in different ways so thought I would share a few of my samples with you today. So I knew I wanted to use some of my Visible Image stamps but hadn’t thought too much about it. I decided to go with the the ‘Sparkle in The Rain’ and ‘Live in The Moment’ stamps sets.  I’m thinking this tag I created is pretty original and haven’t seen anything like it before. However, I have a habit of thinking these things and then find 3293034 similar designs on Pinterest! Ha Intending to make a card, I stamped a few sample images and cut out for placement. After faffing about for about 10 minutes I realised it wasn’t meant to be a card – rather a large tag. Starting again, I got my Brusho colours out as I’ve wanted to use them for ages. I grabbed an A3 piece of watercolour, ripped it up into large pieces and had a little play. A few of my fingertips are still blue but I think it was worth it having decided on blues and green with sequins. And it's a bit of a whopper at 3 1/2 by 6 1/4 inches.
