Using Shimmer Powders with Stencils

Hi friends! Today I'm sharing a post using some new stencils from Tonic Studios with fabulous Nuvo Shimmer Powders. The mosaic stencils are currently on Create and Craft and will be direct to market in 4 weeks time and I'll share more projects with you then.
Instructions

  1. Spray watercolour cardstock larger than your stencil with water.
  2. Sprinkle your powders, making sure the colours on either side compliment each other and won't turn muddy. Allow to dry.
  3. Use Black Glimmer Paste though your stencil and over all the lovely colours from the Shimmer Powders.  Dry.
  4. Cut stenciled panel 5.5 inches squared and mat and layer onto Black then Pistachio CP paper. Mat and layer black and mauve CP paper and attach to 6 inch cardbase.
  5. adhere your stencil panel at an angle for a little interest.
  6. Die cut your sentiment using a scrap piece of paper covered in shimmer powder and adhere to complete your card.
TIP: If you're going to die cut Glimmer Paste you must allow 24hr dry time.
The card is so bright and beautiful and really pops. Although there is some drying time to consider, this is a really easy card to make.
I hope you like and and I'd love to see what you've done with your shimmer powders! There is a super amazing sale on over at Tonic Studios this month but also this weekend there is a Shimmer Powder bundle on sale and you can see it HERE:
