Hi there! Today I'm so excited to take part in the Hero Arts Global Team Blog Hop! The February 2022 My Monthly Hero launch is amazing and has a surrealist theme.
**Thank you for using my affiliate links to shop, your support means so much to me, and I shall endeavour to share as many inspirational posts as possible.**
Today I am sharing a gorgeous little card using some of the sets from this month's MMH.
Materials Used
Sentiment is from MH0222 My Monthly Hero Kit February 2022
H6477 Our Universe
DF038 Star Wreath
Inks, Taffy Lemon Drop, Green Apple, Splash, Purple Galaxy
Dove White Card
Ohuhu Markers
Instructions
- Die cut the star wreath twice with any cheap white card. Adhere together and set aside.
- Create an A2 top folding card blank with Dove White Card. Crease but do not fold. Additionally, Trim a piece of Dove White Card, 5.25 inches by 4 inches.
- Use Removable tape/adhesive to line up the white card panel onto the card blank. Place the star wreath die, middle top, and die cut. Remove the panel carefully. You will want to place the die cut over the card blank again and die cut for the second time. You have to do this as the card is too thick with both pieces.
- Use the Hero Hues Reactive Inks for a gorgeous colored wreath - Taffy, Lemon Drop, Green Apple, Splash, and Purple Galaxy. Glue your inky wreath on top of the other white wreaths you cut out then set aside.
- Stamp the 'Dreaming of you' sentiment, centrally onto the card panel, with Intens-ified black ink.
- Add Vellum behind the card panel with double sided tape, then add foam pads to the back and mount onto the A2 card blank. The cut out wreath aperture will be an exact match.
- Use a small amount of glue to Adhere your finished wreath into the aperture.
- Stamp out the, 'Our Universe' wooden stamp with Intens-ified black ink, but this time onto alcohol friendly paper (I've used Neenah Solar White 80lb).
- Color only the female character with alcohol markers. I've used Ohuhu, Y10, YR190, and Y5 for coat and boots, R18, R19, R20, and R21 for the skin, and Y030, Y1, and Y120 for the hair. I also used a black fineliner to give her some tights.
- Fussy cut from the rest of the image, pop onto foam pads and adhere to the front of the card, so her feet are at the very bottom.
- For added interest, you can add a tea light to the inside of your card!
Although this is a pretty simple card, I had a lot of fun creating it.
