Hi there! It's time for the My Monthly Hero January Release and it's a beauty! I'm a little late in posting due to illness but hopeful to get back on track shortly.
The pink flower is probably my favorite, the petals are stunning.

I have the pleasure to share with you 6 cards using the add-on set from the MMH February release! We're going to be using the amazing panel die, DF027 Hearts & Blossoms Cover Plate. It might not be the trendiest technique, but I LOVE paper piecing patterns.
- The add-on cover plate called Hearts & Blossoms has large flowers and strands of hearts.
- This die measures 4.25" x 5.5".
The no waste technique is perfect for making multiple cards with minimal supplies. Today I'm sharing SIX beautiful paper pieced projectsl that I hope you enjoy.
No Waste Paper Piecing
Paper piecing can be time consuming and wasteful, especially if you're using multiple colors, but these projects today have no waste with minimal supplies.
- Ink 3 pieces of smooth Dove White Card Stock - one of each in Taffy, Lemon Drop, and Pool Party Hero Hues Reactive Inks. Don't worry about getting the color smooth and perfectly blended. You will achieve some interesting shading with color variations you have in the panels.
- Die cut all three inky pieces of card with the Hearts & Blossom Cover Plate, making sure all pieces are in tact.
- Die cut three Heart & Blossoms Cover Plates into a piece of A2 Pitch Black Card Stock.
- Trim three pieces of Dove white A2 card stock and adhere all three of your Cover Plate Die Cuts to it.
- Start by adding the centres of the flowers back into the design.
- Next, paper piece the petals back into your panel, making sure the color is different to the step above.
- Now you can paper piece the background into the rest of the spaces available. You will have used all three colors in different spaces on your card.
- Repeat for all three panels.
- You’ll also be left with three beautiful inky panels.
- Trim three A2 Dove White Panels and adhere them to the 'leftover' die cut, inky panels.
- Use White and Black Acrylic Ink to splatter all six of the panels.
- White heat emboss 6 sentiments onto Pitch Black Card. Trim and add to each card.
Isn't this a wonderful way to paper piece?! I also love that you use all the bits in the card that would otherwise have be thrown away.
Card 1 - You are Treasured
Card Two - Hello Sweetie
Card Three - Greetings, Sending Hugs Your Way
It wouldn't be complete without adding acrylic ink splatter, which I'm a huge fan of. The pink flower is probably my favorite, the petals are stunning.
I'm so glad you've decided to visit me today on my blog. It's been a little while but we're getting back to some sort of normality and I'll be sharing much more with you very soon.
Lots of love, Jen
