Hi there!

Hello and welcome to my little corner of creativity. Here, I find peace and joy in the art of papercrafting, where each project is a gentle journey into the beauty of handmade treasures. Whether you're here to learn, find inspiration, or simply enjoy the process, I hope this space brings you as much happiness as it does to me

Hello and TGIF! It's been a very long week for me, with procedures nearly every day, including today! We're seeing some small improvements this past week, and long may it continue.

*Thank you for using my affiliate links to shop, your support means so much to me, and I shall endeavour to share as many inspirational posts as possible.

The My Monthly Hero (MMH) February launch is totally amazeballs! And completely different to what I've used before! I might not stray from my comfort zone often, but it is a chance to learn and grow, and that's always a positive thing!

If I had to use one word for this month's launch, it would be -  SURREALISM! Think Dali, Frida, and Andre Breton, but I'll talk more about the movement in another blog post in a few days time.

Moon Goddess

I was immediately drawn to this beautiful wooden stamp and knew i'd be using it this month! I've only ever had one wooden stamp so to receive two this month was the best surprise! I've also never used an image like this before, so there's a big learning curve with this card!

Stamp out your Moon Goddess onto Neenah Solar White Card with Memento, Alcohol friendly ink, and heat set. Color in your image as follows, Skin - WG0.5, YR212, Y145, Dress - MG020, B220, B120 & V230, R24, V250. Fussy cut and set aside.

The moon was colored with a couple of yellow Prismacolor pencils.

Trim a piece of smooth white card, 5.5 inches by 4.25 inches and splatter masking fluid on it. Because you’re using reactive inks, regular white ink splatters will invariably pull some ink through. If you use masking fluid, you’ll be left with areas that are not inky.

Once the fluid is dry, ink blend in small circular small bursts of color, using Hero Arts Reactive Ink, Lemon Drop, Pool Party, Blue Hawaii, Berry Smoothie, Purple Galaxy. Set aside until the ink has had time to settle and dry.

Die cut the Cloud Window Fancy die twice with smooth white card and splatter with masking fluid. Allow to dry completely before inking around the edges, using the same colors as your panel. Be mindful the inky panel matches and is aligned with the colors on the cloud die cuts and background panel, e.g. yellow burst of color is in the same place as the yellow on the clouds.

Stamp out the sentiment, follow your dreams, whith white embossing powder onto black card, and trim to size.
Assemble your clouds, and inky panel onto an A2 card base using foam pads. Next adhere the moon goddess and sentiment with foam pads.

I just love the way this card turned out, and think she's absolutely beautiful and just how you would imagine a moon goddess to be chillin' on the moon. Thank you so much for visiting my blog today, and hope that I've given you a little inspiration for the MMH February release from Hero Arts.
Sending lots of crafty love,
Jen
