Hi there!

Hello and welcome to my little corner of creativity. Here, I find peace and joy in the art of papercrafting, where each project is a gentle journey into the beauty of handmade treasures. Whether you're here to learn, find inspiration, or simply enjoy the process, I hope this space brings you as much happiness as it does to me
Hi there and happy Wednesday! I'm still blogging my little heart out here, and today it's all about Valentine's Day! Now, I know not everyone is into this day, but I personally enjoy the sentiment. It's the little things in my life that give me the most pleasure, and if making a special card for my husband gives me a little joy, then it can never be a bad thing.
*Thank you for using my affiliate links to shop, your support means so much to me, and I shall endeavour to share as many inspirational posts as possible.
Although this is a simply made card, I've used 4 different add-on sets as they work so beautifully together.
My inspiration comes from a trip to Poland, where my husband surprised me with our very own love lock!

A2 Valentine Card - Be Mine, Soulmate
I made this Valentine card for my husband. He always enjoys the cards I make, and the more color the better with him - he's not a fan of a lot of white space.
Instructions
  • Trim a piece of hot pressed, smooth watercolor card 5 inches by 3.75 inches and ink blend, Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, Kitsch Flamingo, and Wilted Violet, Distress Oxide Inks.
  • Die cut into the inky panel with DF029 - Chain Link, and then another with smooth plain white card.
  • Add silver, black, copper, and bronze liquid acrylic ink to the die cut, I used my finger to gently tap it on, layer after later, until the chain link looked just right.
  • Adhere a piece of plain card to the back of the inky panel, insert your painted chain link die cut back into the panel and then paper piece all the inky pieces back into it.
  • Splatter some white, silver, and black acrylic ink onto your panel and set aside to dry.
  • Die cut the three heart locks as shown,  from DF028 in silver mirror card. Next, die cut the two larger heart locks again, once in white card, and another in alcohol friendly marker card.
  • Color in the two hearts with blue and purple alcohol markers - I've used Ohuhu markers, and then added a little detail with a white gel pen.
  • Trim and assemble the heart locks as shown.
  • Stamp out three sentiments with black ink from CM606, Mini Messages. Trim and add a black border with a fineliner pen.
  • Stamp and die cut the small key from SB307, Key to My Heart Bundle
  • Assemble, add silver sequins, and place onto an A2 card blank.
And that, my friends, is a lovely and bright Valentine's Day card!
Thank you for visiting today, and I'll see you very soon!
Lots of love,
Jen
