A Blog Named Hero, 10th Anniversary Challenge Card

Hi friends and happy Wednesday! This week, A Blog Named Hero are celebrating their 10th Anniversary as a Challenge Blog. They have monthly challenges, to share their love of all things Hero Arts. The celebrations are encouraging everyone to share their favorite card they've made using HA products over the last 10 years.
**Thank you for using my affiliate links to shop, your support means more to me than ever. If you're here, that means you enjoy my posts and find them inspirational, and I'll strive to create quality tutorials and projects .**
I've only been using Hero Arts products for around 6 months, so I'm late to the party here, but better to be late than not show up at all. I made this card a few weeks ago for a friends Birthday, and it's one of my favorite Hero Art Cards. It's called, "Sweet as Honey".
Sweet As Honey with Karin Markers
  • Stamo the main image with Hero Arts Intensified black hybrid ink onto watercolor card, and heat seat.
  • Colors are:
    • Florals:Soft Peach 1, Soft Peach 2, and Orange, center is Gold.
    • Leaves:Olive Green, Olive Black, and Ochre
    • Branch: Henna, Sepia, and Black
    • Bee: Gold
  • Once dry, splatter with white liquid ink.  Die cut.
  • Use a t-ruler to create vertical lines on a piece of soft white card. I wanted to originally use watercolor card and create a more detailed background, but sometimes little mistakes happen, and we just roll with it.
  • White heat emboss the sentiment, "sweet as honey" onto black card, and trim.
  • Adhere components onto an A2 card base, and add gold embellishments to complete the card.
I'm loving the Karin markers so far, but I do need more practice with them. The color range is fantastic, and for this project, I've picked natural, earthy tones.
Here is a little blurb from A Blog Named Hero about their Anniversary and Giveaway!
