My Monthly Hero, Global Team Blog Hop

Hi there! Thanks for joining me today, and I'm excited to be taking part in the Hero Arts Global Team Blog Hop!

Today I have two cards, both using: SB313, Floral Mandala Bundle

Project One - Thankful for You

• Ink-blend Distress Oxides - Saltwater Taffy, Squeezed Lemonade, and Salvaged Patina, onto a piece of watercolor card.

• Use the second largest mandala and stamp multiple times, over the inky background. 
• Use a white gel pen to add all those dots, or faux platters. I wanted the white to look more like a stamp than random splatter, and I often do this on my cards. 
• Using the Hero Arts Infinity A2 dies, cut 3 frames from your panel. 
• Layer up your frames onto an A2 card base. 
• White heat emboss, 'thankful for you', which comes with the mandala set, and attach in the middle of the card with foam pads. 

Although a simple design, the added layers and faux splatter give the card additional interest. The card is flat (except the sentiment), so easy for posting.  

Project Two, Love You, Tulle Shaker

• Ink-blend Distress Oxides - Saltwater Taffy, Squeezed Lemonade, and Salvaged Patina, onto a piece of watercolor card - the same colors as the first card we made. Trim to 5" x 3.75". 
• Use the second largest mandala and white heat emboss multiple times, over the inky background. 
• White heat emboss an additional mandala onto watercolor card, and die cut. ink up in the same colors, and set aside. 
• Use a white gel pen to add all those dots, or faux platters, again the same technique as our first card.  
• Stamp out 'Love You', from SB314 Mother's Day Vase, onto white watercolor card, trim. 

• Cut a piece of Tulle about 2 inches bigger than the card panel, and adhere to the back, with red liner tape on three sides. You might need to fiddle with it for a minute to get the tulle taut, but it's super easy. 
• Add some shaker mix or sequins into the open side, then seal shut. 
• Wrap around some yellow twine towards the top of your card panel, and attach at the back. 
• Add a piece of plain white card over the back of your panel to hold the tulle in place. 
• Adhere the additional mandala with a small foam pad, but flip it so salvaged patina is at the top.
• Add the sentiment in the middle of the mandala, and then adhere your finished panel onto an A2 card base.
