The Project
I've had an absolute blast creating this card using elements from the MMH December Kit! I know it looks pretty basic but there's a few techniques to making this no-waste card.
No waste, paper-pieced ink-blended and vellum card
Instructions
Trim two pieces of Dove White card and one piece of Pitch Black card to A2 size, and then die cut all three pieces of card with the panel die. Pop one of the white die cut panels onto a white piece of card with wet adhesive
Ink-blend a piece of white watercolor card with the Hero Hues Inks.
Die cut the ink-blended panel, and paper-piece all those elements back into their correct area onto your white on white card/panel. Piecing back the panels means no waste, and we all like that!
Once all your paper-piecing is finished, add the other two panels over the top, and leave a little drop shadow with the white/black. Next, trim a piece of vellum to the same size as your panel and carefully glue it over the top. I added adhesive around the whole card and any large spaces.
To sharpen the look of the image, take your ink-blended panel and adhere it over your vellum topped panel. Although the panel is the same color as your background, the vellum gives it a dreamy look!
Use the small die and stamps included in the Kit, as well as the sentiments to add some interesting detail to your card. I'm particularly fond of that sweet 'hey' stamp!
All the elements are really fun, and can be used for so many projects. To complete the look I added some clear sequins and then popped a black piece of card (5.75 inches by 4.5 inches) onto a card base, measuring 6 inches by 4,75 inches. Although this is a non-standard card size, it took me about 2 minutes to make an envelope with my punch board.
Thanks for joining me today and hope you liked my project using the December MMH Kit! If you have any questions please pop me a message either here or on Instagram and I'll do my best to get back to you as soon as I can.
I also have a fun tutorial using one of the add-on sets, and you can see it HERE
