Hi friends, Jen Kray here. Today I'm sharing a few cards using the stunning Flora Background Stamp. This is an absolute whopper of a stamp as it's 6 inches by 8 inches! So to make it shine, I mean literally shine!!!  I've applied standard heat embossed techniques and I'm sharing 2 techniques to add colour to the images using shimmer powders and glacier paste. 1. Colouring with shimmer powders then adding glacier paste to seal your artwork...   INSTRUCTIONS Use gold embossing powder and clear ink to heat emboss the gorgeous image from Flora background stamp onto navy cardstock. Paint image with Cherry Bomb, Falling Leaves and Atlantis Burst shimmer powders. Rub a very small amount of Quicksilver Glacier paste over the flowers. Wipe away excess immediately with a dry paper towel or napkin. Buff out. Trim floral panel to 5.25 inches by 4 inches. Gold heat emboss the sentiment onto white card. Hello there! My blog post is a little different today as the projects I'm sharing are from Tonic Studios Craft Essentials Kit Issue 3, which was out some time ago. I've been patiently waiting to share them. This is my second time being published and really want to thank all my friends a Tonic Studios for the opportunity. My brief was challenging as I didn't get to use any of the dies or embossing folder, rather I was to concentrate on using the toppers and papers in different ways with a blue/teal colourway. But I love Tonic and I love a challenge...but can I pull it off... Project 1 - Herringbone Card The herringbone card is surprisingly easy to create with half inch wide strips of card. I used a variety materials from the magazine - papers, stamps, toppers and sentiments. I then added some Tonic Studios Glitter Sheen and Nuvo Crystal Drops. I handmade a quick white envelope to match with some Glitter Sheen and a sentiment cut out from one of the papers in the magazine.  P...

Hi there *waves* Today I'd like to share a fun gift card/voucher that is an alternative to your standard card. The gift card fits perfectly inside your mini card with room for a personal message. It is then encased in sealed plastic using a fuse tool. The recipient must cut the pocket open to retrieve the gift card. Super fun, right?! 1. Stamp the hat, presents, rosette and teddy all from Marmalades World by Tonic Studios. 2. Brush colour in with the Aqua Flow Pens and a water brush. 3. Die cut the accessories and fussy cut the teddy; cut out a small shaped tag (or use a die cut if you have one small enough, which I didn't) 4. Die cut a Birthday sentiment (I used some scrap mixed media paper which had random colour already on it).  5. Using Brusho, make a simple background on mixed media paper (or any you have). 6. Attach your background to a small card blank (card is Papermill Direct) 7. Using a  toothbrush, spray some white acrylic fluid over your card on one side.  8. ...

Hola! No beautiful projects today, only a big fat mess in the hopes that some of you might want to make big fat messes too! haha  This is a bit of an inky journey with some Reveal It Mats from the Stamp It II Collection from Craftwork Cards and then making a distressed background. The reason this is a different kind of blog is that, as a DT for CWC, I was asked numerous times how to use these mats and if I could go through some of the types of pens etc which work on them.  Inky materials used:  Altenew Inks, Momento Inks, Distress Inks, Gelatos, Spectrum Noirs, ProMarkers, Tsukineko Neon Pigment Inks, Distress Crayons, Kuretake Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Watercolour Brush Pens, Lindy's Stamp Gang Ink Magicals Flat Set Hawaiian Islands, Colourcraft Brusho Crystal Colour and I've even thrown in some Colour Cloud Inks. 1.
